TLDR
~B550-A610 PI
225/##/R15 or 235/##/R16 race slicks
FWD/RWD 2100-2300lbs
AWD 2500-2600lbs
Race roll cage mandatory.
No adjustable aero, no drivetrain swaps, but engine and aspiration swapping is allowed, so are street aero packages.

So far, initial testing has been as such:

Wheel/tire sizing is going to be important, so pay attention.

225/xx/r15 or 235/xx/r16 are max allowed. The 16s only apply if you can't fit the 225/15 size. Some cars can only do one size, some can do both. If both, default to 225/15s for the time being. This means 225 width, on a 15" rim.

Mandatory tire compound will be race slicks.

Past that, we're trying to get a power to weight ratio of 8.8lbs/hp. That number isn't set in stone, but the closer you can get to that, the better. A 2100lb car comes in at 238hp. Weight range for the time being is 2100lbs-2300lbs for FWD and RWD. I'm still working on AWD weight ranges, but so far looks like 2500-2600 is where I'm at. PI has fluctuated from B550-A610, so try not to fall on either side of that number, closer to 600 the better. It may wind up getting locked in to B600 at the end of this.

No drivetrain swaps allowed, but the verdict is still out on engine and aspiration swapping. For now they're legal, at least for testing purposes. I've also been running adjustable aero but for the sake of this testing, we're gonna say no adjustable aero, but street parts are allowed.

There's potentially going to be a car list for this, so don't get too attached to anything because I want the grid to look similar to the real world inspiration for this.

Well, I want to really thank Dreamer for his last series! I had such a great time, I hate that I pulled my back out all to hell two weeks ago.... I've not had the xbox on for 2 weeks; but now I'm almost back to normal.....anyway....

I'd like to start this series around March 22nd so that'll give everyone some time to tinker with cars/builds... including myself.

I've actually sat around and asked myself how to make the field closer, but at the same time still diverse so everyone isn't in the same car or building missiles primarily. Here is what I came up with.... I present the Four Track Attack:

Same rules as Dreamer only with my added twists. 3 Sec roll off, sim damage, pits are open, no assists, etc... BUT as per my last series' races, we always kept the car class in the same class. I believe if we keep the car in the same class it will take away the ability to upgrade to a missile. Also, we are adding a 1/2 mile drag race in with the other three tracks to shake it up more. So the car starts in class we are running for the week, all upgrades other than drivetrain or engine swaps are legal. All four times for each will be added together to declare the winner for the week as well as an overall winner for the entire series. Obviously the lowest score wins overall for each.

Tracks:
______________________________
Test Track Drag Strip (1/2 Mile) - less than 10 min overall time
Catalunya School (all corners, no pits) - 15 min time limit
Laguna Seca (balanced track) - 15 min time limit
Seabring Full (lots of straights, lots of turns) - 20 min time limit

Cars:
______________________________
D Class FWD (24 cars plus DLC)
C Class AWD (29 cars plus DLC)
B Class RWD (48 cars plus DLC)

Schedule:
______________________________
Week 1 - D class
Week 2 - C class
Week 3 - B class

Build:
--------------------------
Cars start in the class and remain in same class each week
All options open except drivetrain or engine swaps
The build must stay the same with each track/week, only tuning can change

Hi Gang, it's been a while since we did a time attack and I thought to kick of the 2017 time attack season (who knows maybe that will be a thing.)

Here is the idea for this event. We will run three different classes, but there's a catch.

B class FWD cars only
A class RWD cars only
S class AWD cars only

We will run these on three different tracks.

VIR Patriot (short track)
Monza Full(power track)
Watkins Glen Short (well balanced)

You will run the same build for your class on all three tracks.

We have a few days for thoughts and comments, but other then that let's start building and racing.

We will also have a best paint job award. So please post up pictures of your best livery for each class. Paint jobs are due on Feb. 28th.

EDIT: After some testing and tuning and discussion I think we might do a format change. Times will be set in a lobby with other racers. There will be a ten second roll off delay. Fuel and tire damage will be on. Damage will be set to sim. This brings an extra element of risk. Especially on Patriot where there is no pits. On the other tracks if you are damaged you may pit.

Each session will be a 15 minute times session.

Schedule is as follows: I want to coordinate with Crossfire as to not step on the toes of his series, but I'd like to launch this early in February.

Week One. B class cars, on all tracks.

Week Two. A class cars, on all tracks.

Week Three. S class cars, on all tracks.

There will be class winners as well as over all winners.

Race Info:
-----------

Race#1 is going to stick with our production build 30 minute race format. Following that we are going to do 2 x 20 minute races in a re creation of the early 1970s Trans AM 2.5 cars. Details on the trans am series is below.

I present to you Drivebye071's (Josh Nitz) SCCA B-Sedan / Trans-Am 2.5 Challenge! Monday nights at 9pm EST.

This series will be 3 weeks long, 2 races per night. There are 6 vintage race cars to choose from all set up by your's truly. All are lightweight, with race tires and sport suspensions to keep things simple and easy for everyone. No tuning required besides tire pressure, brakes, and rear diff. FINAL DRIVE RATIOS WILL BE RESTRICTED (look for ratios in the car build section). These cars are an absolute blast to drive, but remember, they are built to emulate vintage race cars so if you don't drive them smoothly they will bite!
All details can be found below, all 2of4 rules and regulations apply. Lets have fun with this boys, testing made for some awesome battles! Hope to see a great turnout on the grid!

If you guys are interested, I'll try to host a few races over the next few weeks during our normal time Wednesday Night, 10pm EST. Usual rules apply, although I'm posting a heads up now so people can build a few cars to play with saving us lobby time later..... I'll also post this in IG Club on XBL and see if we attract some new comers.

EDIT: INFORMATION FOR NEW RACERS JOINING AN IG EVENT
Been asked on XBL quite a few questions about the events, etc... so here is the main stuff....

- We lock all assists to off, with the exception of normal/sim steering and auto/manual clutch.
So basically no braking line, no TCM, no ABS, with Fuel / Tire wear on, only cosmetic crash damage.
- Total time for all races is usually 1 hour (+/- 15min)
- Mics are optional, but if you can at least hear us it'll be easier to coordinate.
- We have fun and race clean, trash talking optional.
