As a shock to no one the Hagerty insurance thinks the next hot collectors market is the classic SUV. It’s quite obvious really with first tear collector cars basically all bought up and trading at insane prices collectors are moving on to others things. For example trucks have been particularly hot lately so it only makes sense that SUVs would soon follow suit.

Vehicles like the International Scout, Ford Bronco, and others have been showing up hot and heavy on the show circuit lately. This follows nicely with the trend of SUVs becoming popular in the country in general as more and more people turn to the extra cargo room, and people capacity of big SUVs. Also there has been an increasing trend in film and TV of characters driving SUVs. Think Jack Shepphard of Lost. This trend really is just getting off the ground so there are plenty of prime examples out there still.

Film Friday: The Boss
The Boss 302 is legendary. A relic from a time when cars had aggressive looks, unique styling and color, and big horsepower. The 302 came about because of Ford’s desire to go Trans Am racing and to do that they needed to meet homologation requirements. So the 302 was born.
Today for Film Friday we have a short video on the Boss 302. It’s simply eye candy done in a nice appealing style. So if you have about three minutes hit the jump and enjoy. The Boss

Future Classic: Terminator Cobra
The Terminator Cobra is the stuff of legends, you take a Mustang, have the wizards at SVT work it over and the result is an icon of the early 2000s. The Terminator is a 2003/04 Ford Mustang Cobra that was produced back when SVT was still making the Cobras. It’s the baddest of the SVT Cobras. We think it is a future classic because they did not make a whole lot of them, just 19,140 Cobras where made. Aside from the relatively low number they were quick from the factory with 390hp and some of the best drivers running a mid 12 second quarter mile. It is certainly worth taking a closer look at so let’s do that and see just why we think the 2003/2003 Terminator Cobra is a future classic.
