Dodge unviels the Challenger Rallye Redline

It’s not too often a special edition of a V6 muscle car is released so when it does happen it’s news worthy. The Rallye Redline based on the SXT model uses the standard V6 making 305hp, but gives the buyer goodies like an upgraded suspension and twenty inch rims. If you think twenty inch rims are goodies anyway.

Suspension goodies are firmer shocks, larger sway bars all around, bigger brakes, wider tires, and a quicker steering rack. All this should help you carve up the back roads a little better then in the standard V6 model.

Pricing hurts a little bit at just over 28k. That’s a lot of money for non V8 power and in a car that weighs as much as a Challenger I gotta think you want V8 power.

You can get your Rallye Redline Chally starting next month. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Review Ford F150 Ecoboost

There is no doubt Ford builds a good truck. Sales figures don’t lie, and according to the sales figures the F150 is the king of the truck world. So some time back when Ford decided it would put it’s ecoboost engine into the F150 it drew some criticism even though the ecoboost is a highly touted engine. In case you haven’t heard the ecoboost engine is a 3.5L V6 with twin turbos making 365hp and a whopping 420 torque. While Ford advertises the ecoboost engine as “the power of a V8 with the economy of a V6” the fact is if all out fuel economy is your need then you should stick with the naturally aspirated 3.7L V6 which outdoes the ecoboost by a couple Mpgs. Although if you are truly worried about fuel economy you shouldn’t be buying a truck. So how does Ford’s ecoboost F150 stack up? Hit the jump for a full review.

Suburbanites your new Ram is ready!

Out here in the sticks we like our trucks to work. We want tons of torque and lots of horsepower, just in case we need to pull a stump out of the ground on our date. Hey it has happened! However the suburban dweller wants a truck for a very different reason. They need their truck to have leather, chrome, heated ass warmers, and to wipe your nose for you when you sneeze. Oh they want 4wd because you know navigating the suburbs can be tricky it can sometimes be a half hour or more before the snow plow comes around after you get that inch of snow.

Well good news suburbanites, your Ram is finally here. The new Ram Laramie priced at $45,700 comes with all you’d expect from a truck priced like a German luxury sedan: leather, navigation, bluetooth, etc. I’m sure it will ride like a dream too. Don’t worry if you aren’t into luxury trucks, you can still pick up a plane Jane “work Ram” for half the price of the luxury model. So if the new E class doesn’t have enough room for your plywood, check out the Ram Laramie.
