Forza Horizon: What We Know So Far

For years there has been talk of an open world Forza game and this just may be it. Earlier this weekend a “teaser” was leaked for Forza Horizon which is a new game to be released later this year.

As you can see the trailer doesn’t tell us a whole lot, but what we do see are Porsches. Now….. let’s not get ahead of ourselves because this is just a teaser but could this mean Porsche fans’ long Forza nightmare is over and we might finally get more of the fabled German cars in the next installment?

Ok, back to what we do know. An interview with Sebull who is responsible for Forza Horizon is telling us that Microsoft has decided they need a Forza every year instead of two. So, Sebull will take the even years, and T10 the odd years. They also hint that the T10 games will remain the same Forza we know and love while they are pretty mum on what we will see from Sebull. We are told tomorrow at GDC Forza Horizon will be officially unvieled. Now we don’t know if that means we will get details tomorrow or just the video posted above officially revealed. As we learn more you can bet I-G will be on top of it.

Profile: Plymouth Road Runner Superbird

The muscle car era saw it’s fair share of characters, but none more wild then the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird. The Superbird was Plymouth’s version of the 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger and while the two were very similar, they were very different as well. The Superbird was more smoothed out and refined then the Daytona Charger with a nose cone on the street version that would accommodate the pop out headlights; which was some 19 inches longer then the original Daytona. The story of the Superbird’s huge wing was shrouded in mystery for years only to have a much simpler reasoning.

Five Cars We Can’t Wait to Drive in 2012

Fair warning, I stole the idea of this article from one of the dinosaurs of print car media. I’m also going to take this chance to bash the daylights out of said dinosaur. Here’s what I’m going to talk about in this article; five cars we actually want to drive this year, not a huge list of cars that we were paid to write about by our sponsors like the dinosaurs of print media do. We will never on Infinite-Garage pander to a sponsor – we will always tell you the truth about the cars we drive. So, what you won’t read in this article is about the new Honda Accord and how we can’t wait for this years redesign so we can drive it. We won’t put it on our ten best list and in fact there’s almost no chance in hell we even bother testing what is the worst of the family sedans produced today. If you want to read about the upcoming Honda accord by all means x out of our page, delete us from your book marks, and defriend us on facebook. You are not one of us. You are not a car guy. We have no problems if you drive an Accord, because your wife probably picked it out, or you got it cheap, or maybe you read Motor Driver and bought into their BS. It’s ok you’re with us now. We’ll guide you in the right direction.

Should America dim lights on highways at night to save some energy.

According to the BBC the UK is considering dimming lights on their roadway network to save money. This would also save energy and energy is going to be the hot topic of the next century.

This got me thinking, should we do that here? I’ve long thought that many of the lights we have in our towns and highways are just a waste on energy and money. Not to mention it causes light pollution which ruins the view of the night sky. I’ll bet many of you have never seen the Milky Way because of all the light pollution. Of course some of these lights are on for safety reasons but do we really need all of them? The ones on the interchanges are particularly superfluous to me. Cars have lights, the interstates have reflectors to mark lanes and turn lanes so it would seem to me we don’t need the big over head lights. I’m not exactly a tree hugging hippie, but I also believe in conserving when you can. So maybe we could use this as a jump off point to start talking about these sort of things to make the world a better place with cars.
