When Ferrari brings out a new car it’s big news and when that new car is the successor to the Enzo it’s a good candidate for the biggest car news of the year. Any other year where there wasn’t a new Corvette introduced the La Ferrari would probably be our car of the year, but let’s be honest here, the Corvette is going to be our car of the year. The good news is we have 365 days of news to fill here on IG and on Friday’s we do this little thing called Film Friday where we find the best video of the week and post it up for you to enjoy. This week it’s F1 superstar Fernando Alonso wringing out the brand new LaFerrari.

Got Trucks? The trucks of the Got Faith car show
I have said it before many times, trucks are the biggest thing going in the car show world, especially rat rodded and resto modded trucks. Just head out to any show and you will see a huge number of tricked out trucks just waiting to be judged. It’s no surprise really as trucks are hugely popular with the general population so it only makes sense for that to carry over into the show car scene. So today we return to the Got Faith show to check out some sweet trucks.

Chevy Rat Rod Truck Wallpaper
It’s wallpaper Wednesday which means it’s time to adorn your desktop with a sweet new wallpaper. As always we provide a couple sizes to fit your desktop just right. This weeks wallpaper comes from The Great Race which you will surely remember from earlier this summer. The Great Race itself was full of cool old antique racers rallying across the country, but the cars not in the race where just as interesting. That’s where I found this sweet Chevy pick up truck all rat rodded out and looking tough as nails.

Got Faith? The sights and scenes from the annual Got Faith Car Show
Got Faith is the question of the weekend every first weekend in August in the town of Jerseyville, Illinois. Every year a group of people get together to help stock the food pantries for the coming winter with canned goods for those a little less fortunate than others. It’s an awesome concept that melds charity with good family fun in a high octane, music filled, fun weekend. The event features a huge yard sale type event, shopping cart races, live music, and of course some cool classics in the car show. Now in it’s second year and growing strong (despite some bad luck with the weather) what the folks at the Got Faith show do is inspirational to us all. We will always go out of our way to champion a worthy cause and feeding the hungry is one of the most worthy of causes.
A little bigger gathering of cars then last year turned out some really great examples of various breeds and in what has to be a rarity there was a lot of Mopar at the show. Like that awesome Barracuda above. It was one of the finest examples of an early Barracuda I’ve come across and it was a real joy to photograph. When compared to modern day muscle cars it is tiny.
Speaking of modern day muscle hit the jump for some of that, several more classics, and even an import.
