I really don't want to have to restrict each event to one car. I was actually wanting to go the opposite route and open it up to multiple classes the way the reddit league is currently. Pretty cool seeing all of the different cars on the leaderboard.
I do find myself wondering if there's a way to set the events in a way that you can run them again after completing the full event. I'm not currently able to set another time and looking through the options it would appear that the event restart box being ticked isn't giving the option. It was ticked already and yet I cannot run again, so I'm not sure.
The cars are actually pretty close.
I'd say that skill is the primary time setter, a proper tune is secondary, and the car choice(within the class) is third.
I don't know about you guys but I'm just now starting to feel like I'm getting on top of the controls and gaining speed.
The last two days I've gained some tangible speed from tuning properly with just basic settings.
As for resetting/rerunning stages I'm in for either format. I do prefer the idea of the " one chance" to get it right though.
I definitely prefer the one shot aspect, but if you got to replay the events you could do so with a few different cars. I can personally take it or leave it. Just throwing it out there.
Just some FYI, it looks like we can't have multiple events running at the same time in one league. If we wanted to get more advanced with our schedule, we could always have multiple leagues going.
I need to get this done. I think I'll give it a shot on Sunday. Joined up and everything. I will say that they league site could use a bit of an interface overhaul. It's pretty enough but not the most intuitive to navigate.
We could set up another league dedicated to open class, multi-try format on events, while the "Exodus Rally" league stays as 1 shot and done. If you could have multiple seasons going we could do both styles in 1 league, but that's not how it works. Hell, we could have like 4 leagues and do our own daily and weekly variety events as well. We'll earn money from it all.
I probably need to do a little tuning to get the cars more setup. I did tweak my controller settings a bit more and that seemed to help. Honestly, it's just all about seat time at this point.
I ran the E30 on a couple of stages and it was good.
I really think the 60's cars are not really very helpful as starter cars. They feel so much different to the higher classes. To be honest the E30 and the WRC Mini were instantly more comfortable cars for me.
Also I ran Jamsa in Finland with the group B quattro. Uh yeah, it's pretty fast and crazy!
Each car tunes easily, some need a little work, some a lot.
I thought the faster classes would be harder to control, but with a little tuning they actually feel pretty well locked down.
I mostly just tweak gearing, and play with basic spring/damper tuning.
The only times I've played with advanced settings is to research its operation and when I wanted to dial in a favorite car for a specific feel.
