Film Friday: The Racer’s Group

Today’s Film Friday morning flick is The Racer’s Group. It follows Team TRG at Petite LeMans at Road Atlanta in 2011 and their quest to win it all. It’s pretty short, but the cinematography is awesome.

Team Profile: Speedsource

SpeedSource and Mazda go hand in hand these days and with the debut of the new Mazda 6 SkyActiv Diesel the 2013 race season is shaping up to be quite exciting. With one race under their belt the team is primed for the next race at the Circuit of the America’s on February 28th. We thought it might be a good idea to take a look at the team, the car, and it’s drivers.

Audi RS6 Avant Plus 600hp grocery getter

The Audi RS6 Avant is pretty awesome in it’s own right. Now with word of an RS6 Avant Plus well the worlds best grocery getter just got a little bit more awesome. Stephan Reil whose Audi’s Quattro division top dog told Car magazine that a more powerful as in 600hp, RS6 Avant Plus.

Details are a bit scant at this point as the car won’t arrive until 2014, but if we can take past Audi Plus models as example we could expect the RS6 Avant Plus to be lighter, tighter, and faster. That sounds good to me. Going to the grocery store just got a bit more fun.

How F1 Suspension works

F1 cars are technological marvels. With the latest engineering, composites, and the need to squeeze every hundredth of a second out of all it suspension technology in an F1 car is nothing short of amazing.

Caterham F1 has put together a cool video explaining the challengers they face when setting up a car, and also explaining how the suspension of an F1 car works. It’s very cool and only a few minutes long. So hit the jump and check it out.
