Year End Awards: Best Sports car over $30,000

As our year end awards move on we search for the best sports car over $30,000. First let’s define the category which I think is easily done with a quote by our own Reno who said something to the effect of “these are the cars you buy to go fast…..supercars (Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s, etc) are cars you buy to impress your douchebag neighbor, feed your own giant ego, and to coerce socialites into making poor late night decisions. That sums it up. The cars in this group probably won’t make a poster in a kids bedroom, or be in the parking lot of Goldman Sac’s but then again if you are reading this you probably aren’t all that interested in those types a cars anyway because you value speed over asshatery. So for you IGer’s with a bit of spending money here’s the list of nominees and the winner just for you. Best Sports car over $30,000.

2nd runner up: Camaro 1Le

Year end Awards 2012 Best sports car under $30,000

One of the most popular segments is the sporty car under $30,000. This category is small but growing thanks to the success of cars like the Mazda Miata, Subaru WRX, and Hyundai Genesis Coupe. None of which made our best of for this year. If you have been at all paying attention this year you probably know the winner but let’s first take a look at the other contenders.

Merry Christmas

I realize here on Infinite Garage that we have a huge variety of people from all walks of life and religions. I don’t know what you believe and I don’t want to push my beliefs on you. I believe people should come together with the things they have in common, not be driven apart by the differences they have. This time of year to me is about family, friends, looking back at the past, and looking forward to the future. It has been an amazing year here at Infinite Garage and it is because of you guys who keep coming back to read what we have to say. I can’t thank you enough. As the year winds down I can’t help but think back at our success and losses. This will be the first Christmas without my Grandparents whom both passed away earlier this year. My Grandpa always drove Impalas, that’s why the feature picture is what it is for this article. There are two lessons my Grandpa taught me that will always stay with me.
Chevy Impala SS
Treat everyone fair no matter what badge is on the back of their car. You never who might come along behind you when your car breaks down.

Always forgive those who have wronged you. Hate weighs very heavy on the soul, and that could slow down your quarter mile time.

So as the year winds down I’d just like to say thanks to everyone who comes here. May your gas always be premium, the good driving roads clear of traffic, and your engines running strong.

Infinite Garage Best Sedan of 2012

It’s that time of year when all the car blogs and magazines (as if people even read those anymore, paper is so last century) publish their picks for best of the year.  Here at Infinite Garage we’re no different in our desire to whittle down the best of 2012 to a handful of gems, but I can assure you that there are no 3 Series BMWs, hybrid-electric SUVs, or soccer-mom performance Crossovers on any of our lists. Instead, we will be highlighting cars that you would actually want to buy, or wish you could afford.

Because sometimes you have to haul the groceries, hit the jump to find out which four door we picked as our choice for Best Sedan of 2012.

Sunday Commentary: Dec. 23, 2012 blizzard edition!

Snow, DIY, Awards, NEWS, Cadillac ATS-V, Camaro LS7? and a Reader Ride!
Another Sunday another Commentary. It’s Christmas time and this week in the Midwest sure felt like it with the Midwest receiving our first blizzard of the season. Only a couple inches of snow but those 60mph winds sure made things interesting. Not to mention it was this weird ice/snow hybrid hell snow which made driving darn near impossible.

We’ve had a good week with the launch of our partnership with Projekt Customs and we have a big week ahead with the year end awards so hit the jump to find out what we got cooking in the week ahead.
