The amount of Mopar at Wentzville cruise night this year was pretty impressive. On my side of the Mississippi River you just don’t see that much. It’s heaven for Camaro and Mustang fans, but when you cross that river over into Missouri it seems the Mopar comes out in droves. As they say Mopar or no car.
Roadrunners, Cudas, Barracudas, and even a Coronet or two were out roaming the strip and looking great doing it. I saw everything from slant sixes to a big 572 with a blower. Needless today the Mopars were well represented. Let’s take a look at more.

Rod Run, Wentzville Cruise Night
Back at Wentzville Cruise night it seems like this would be a great time to check out some of the non Mopar cars before I slam you guys with all the Mopar goodness. There was a little something for everyone at the Rod Run. I gotta hand it to them, they put on a heck of a cruise. The place was packed with cars. Cars like this awesome Buick convertible. For some reason when I hear Bruce Springsteen’s “My Home Town” and he says “big ole Buick” I think of this car.

The Nurburgring comes to Forza Motorsports 5 today for FREE!
The T10 goodwill continues with the Nurburgring heading to the Forza Motorsports 5. It’s out today and it’s free! You gotta love free. Recreated in laser scanned excellents the Nawsome will be in full HD glory for your racing pleasure.
You will get three ribbons of track. The Nurburgring Ring test track which is 14 miles or so long. The GP track, and the combined track. The Ring is called “The Green Hell” for a reason. Now you too can swear at the German countryside in full HD. Five cars will also be included in the pack.

AAR Cuda Clone: Wentzville Rod Run Cruise Night
Cruise night was pretty great again this year. Huge turn out and tons of people milling around. I should have a good number of post for the IG faithful. We’ll kick it off with this sweet AAR Cuda. I can’t say for sure but I’m pretty certain it’s a clone. It was for sale and the asking price screamed clone. Had I had the cash on hand I’d have loved to have owned it. It was done well and looks like it makes for a great cruiser.
Since I don’t have much on the back story of this particular AAR Cuda I thought maybe it would be cool to do a bit of a history lesson on Plymouth’s Trans Am racing special.

Sunday Commentary week in review

Another Sunday is here and I’ve been slacking a bit on the week in review. So much so I’m not even sure I’ll do it regularly. It would be great if I could do IG all day everyday for a living but there is a real world out that keeps me away sometimes. Still IG is my passion and it makes me really happy to say we have a really busy week ahead with lots of cool coverage from the Rod Run in Wentzville, Missouri. I think it was bigger this year then last and the lighting was perfect for shooting cars.
I will have something for everyone coming up this week but don’t be surprised if it’s not a tad Mopar heavy. There were so many great ones to choose from and it seemed they were out 3:1 over the other brands. In the mean time let’s do a little review.
