Bruce Springsteen once sang “when the strip shuts down we run em in the street.” Well in my older and wiser years I’ve replaced the street with a video games. Of course there is a long history of cool racing video games from Pole Position, to Gran Turismo, and of course Forza Motorsports. Until recently though if you wanted to game on your phone you only had some side scrollers or you could get an emulator which rarely translates well to mobile phone. However now you have a choice on your Android powered phone with Real Racers 2. Real Racers 2 will cost you 99 cents which is a good deal for all that you get and while it’s not perfect by a long shot it’s pretty fun.

Chevy prices the ZL1 Convertivble
Get out your wallets boys, if you want the Camaro ZL1 with a drop top it’s going to cost you dearly. Something to the tune of $60,000. That’s nearly $6,000 more then the Mustang GT500 convertible. Yeah good luck with that Chevy. You do get the 580hp monster that lies under the hood of the regular ZL1 and a manual transmission standard. Sorry ladies, you’ll have to pay extra for the automatic. Actually with 580hp you’ll probably want the automatic. The ZL1 convertible will be on dealer lots just in time for cold weather (yeah bad timing) so you have a little time to save your pennies if you want one. Is there a market for a $60,000 Camaro when you can have your choice of Vettes for less? I don’t know but we’ll find out soon enough.

VW officially owns Porsche.
It’s been a long time coming, three years to be exact, with all sorts of fighting negotiating, hostile take over attempts, and some attempts at tax evasion finally the deal is done. VW owns Porsche. They already work together on cars like the Panamera so we can expect more of that in the future. Rumors have been around for years of an even cheaper entry level Porsche and maybe that comes in the form of some rebadged VW. Who knows, but you’ll be able to find any updates and news here when it happens.

A spectacular 50 Chevy
Nice cars are dime a doze, but cars that are mind blowingly good are very rare. This is one of those cars. Pictures can not do this thing justice, especially when I’m taking those pictures. I was able to briefly talk with the owners wife but unfortunately the owner was out and about at the show and I couldn’t speak with him. I want to know every thing there is to know about this car and hopefully I can run into him again someday. Maybe even do a real photoshoot. One can dream can’t we?
On to the pics. As you can see there is tons of custom body work here. It’s no shocker the owner is a professional body man.

a hot Hyundai Veloster in the works? Veloster Turbo R
The Hyundai Veloster has all the makings of a good budget racer, it’s quirky, small, light, and nimble but the base model seriously lacks some punch and the turbo model only brings it up to acceptable. The long heard whispers are getting louder according to Motor Authority. It seems the back rooms of Hyundai are still talking that there is plenty of room for an even hotter turbo model with a more track orientated suspension and more power. This seems logical considering the cheap price of the Volester.
