1938 Chevy Master Deluxe from the Got Faith Show

We love hot rods here at IG but we really love hot rods that get used and here’s a perfect example of how you can combine a car you can drive with amazing show quality. This car has 38,000 miles on it after it was rodded and restored, that’s more then my 2006 daily driven Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged. I need to drive more. I digress though because you’ve got to see this 38.

What’s a classic hot rod without some classic flames? These look right at home down the side of the Chevy.

Check out more after the break!

Slight site update and rearranging

It was brought to my attention last week that Infinite-Garage is maybe not the most user friendly of sites out there. I totally agree and we are working on that because we want you to be able to easily see whatever content here you want. So we’ve done some rearranging and changing. Nothing major at all, but we condensed a bunch of categories so that now we have eight total instead of thirty like before. This means it should be easier to find what you are looking for. Also I’ve made a menu on the right side of the main page with all the categories. So let’s say you want to see pictures of the shows and events we have been out to. Simply look over at the right side of the page for the category marked “car shows” and click on it. This will bring you up all the articles of the shows we’ve been to. Then simply find the one you want and click on the title to take you to the main article. Hopefully that will make it easy to navigate around this place until we become pro web site programmers. Which is going to be a while. ha. As always we’d love to hear your comments and thoughts. Comment here, on facebook, or email us at theinfintegarage@gmail.com

We will look for more ways to make this place more user friendly in the mean time stay tuned because we have a big couple weeks coming up.

Jackson Racing supercharger kit for the Honda CR-Z

The CR-Z has all the right makings of a tuner car. It’s reasonably priced, light weight, decent looking, and being a Honda will have huge aftermarket support. The one problem that keeps coming up is that it’s quite sluggish. It’s 138hp 1.5l engine just isn’t up to the task of having fun. Of course it wasn’t made for fun but made for sipping fuel something it does nicely. So the guys over at Jackson Racing have you covered on the fun part.

For $3,995 ok let’s call it $4000 you can have yourself a bolt on blower that will up to the power to 190hp and 160ft-lbs which should be more then enough to put a smile on your face in the little CR-Z. If you are worried about emissions don’t worry it’s CARB legal. Right now the system is only available for the manual transmission cars and you’ll want a clutch upgrade if you plan to actually have some fun but other wise it’s a straight forward install.

Hit the jump for the full press release and some pics.

Gasoline Engine basics

The majority of the passenger vehicles sold through out the world are powered by a gasoline internal combustion engine. This time Lord Funkatron will walk you through the workings and parts of a four stroke gas engine. So hit the bump and read on about the powerplant in your ride.

Sneak Peak of the “Got Faith” car show coverage.

I’ve made it a goal in life to use cars to promote good. What I’ve found is there are thousands of other car people with the same idea. What I can do is use this site to promote the events that people use to do good things with cars and the Got Faith car show is a prime example. Entrance fee to the Got Faith show is canned food to help stock the Jerseyville area food pantries to help those who are less fortunate then us. What a great idea! In a world where the media, politics, and everything else trying to divide us based on petty difference such as race, religion, creed, sexual orientation, or whatever, there are people out there who can come together and work for a good cause. That’s what America needs, people coming together, not dividing. That’s why we will gladly cover any event that uses cars for a good cause like this. So over the next several days we will have coverage of the Got Faith show. The crowd was light because of some rain which is understandable but the people that did brave the weather brought some great cars, and I think every one had a good time.

If we had to pick a best of show for this show it would be basically impossible. Essentially I’d put a bunch of names in a hat and draw one out because there were several prime candidates. If I had to pick though it would be one of the cars in this article. Later in the week I’ll actually pick Infinite-Garage.com’s best in show for this show and do a full write up on it. Yep, I’m stalling because I don’t know who to pick. For now enjoy a variety of pics from the show and stay tuned this week for more.

This 28 certainly has a shot at best in show. So low and awesome.

You’ll remember this Boss 680 from our Carrollton coverage a few weeks ago. This car won the “people’s choice” award today. It seems this young lady is racking up the trophies with her Mustang. It’s easy to see why.

More pics after the jump!
