Ford has a contest going on right now that allows you to customize a Mustang any way you want. Seriously the options here are deep. The catch is that you can win the Mustang you build! That’s pretty sweet. Even if you don’t win just playing with the customizer is pretty awesome so head over to Ford’s site and start building. Post your builds here!

A future classic the Ford Mustang
So far we’ve looked at classics from last weekends show but today we will change things up a bit and look at something newer. The cool thing about Mustangs is there are a million ways to customize one and make it your own and this one is a perfect example of that. The owner says she’s just getting started and plans to piece her master plan together a part at a time and I have no doubt it will be one fine stallion when it’s all said and done. Starting with Grabber Orange is a pretty good way to get attention at the shows.
As always hit the jump for loads more pictures of this prime example of a new Mustang.

Paul Fansler’s 36 Ford Two Door
Mr. Fansler was the first member of the White Hall Drag O Way crew that I was introduced to and it’s time to feature one of his cars here on Infinite Garage. Last weekend was the first time I had seen his 36 Ford and I was not disappointed. As you will see this car has all the right details from an amazing paint to custom running boards. The car uses a Mustang II front suspension on a 289 under the hood.

2013 370Z gets a price bump and refresh
The 370z is a car we’ve kind of shied away from. It’s heavy, expensive, slow, and not very nimble really. I know that sounds odd because Z cars are usually pretty good and it’s not an awful looking car. The problem is it fails to capture the essence of driving and instead tries to be something it’s not. The potential is there and as we told you last week it seems the new Z will be lighter, smaller, and much improved. We welcome that with open arms.
However we still have a few years for the new Z so we need to look and see what we get for 2013. What you’ll get is a redesigned fascia, that’s not totally new but sort of refined, Audi style LEDs for day time running lights, and some new rims. For all this the base price now goes up to $33,120. That’s not awful by itself but that’s before you add options and then the Z gets expensive fast. In fact you can turn the 370Z into a $40,000 car very quickly and what you have to ask yourself is that at 40k is the 370z very good? The answer is no. For the price of a Z you’ll be in the league of all the new muscle cars, the Hyundai Genesis, BMWs 1 series, Mercedes, C class, and the Audi TT. Among others. Not to mention the cheaper better driving alternatives in the Miata and BRZ/FRS.
So why get a 370Z? I don’t know, but if you want one you can get a 2013 Z pretty shortly at your local Nissan dealer.
