This weekend I loaded up some camera gear and headed out to a car show in Carrollton, Illinois. I had several choices of shows but I figured in Carrollton I’d see our friends from the White Hall Drag O Way, which I did, and it gave me a chance to hang out with some family. As I got out of the car and looked across the park I spotted some Mopar in Sublime and Lime Light. Yep I picked the right show to go to. Before this turns into another Mopar gush fest from me let me assure you later in the week I’ll have lots of other makes and models from an awesome custom 1950 Chevy to a brand new Mustang. Carrollton offered the big crowd a nice variety of cars, bikes, and trucks. I digress, today our focus is a nicely restored 1967 Barracuda in Lime Light, one of my favorite “Hi Impact” colors of the muscle era.

Brakes: A Tech Article
Brakes are the first line of safety and control in your car. You never think about them until they are not there. Trust me, its not a good feeling. And there is no moment more eye opening than feeling the brake pedal fall to the floorboard with no pressure. Today I’m going to explain what the function of each part is and wipe out some of the myths associated with them.

Lamborghini builds it’s 1000th Aventador
It’s no secret we love the Aventador here at Infinite Garage. In fact it was our car of the year last year. Why wouldn’t it be? It’s one of those rare cars that if you were a kid you’d have a poster of it on your wall. Ok ok, I have a poster of one in my office now. That’s how awesome it is. Apparently Lamborghini is popping these things out at a steady pace now because they’ve just built the 1000th Aventador.

Codemasters F1 Stars
Codemasters who are generally known for their simulations have taken a decidedly more arcade turn in their new game F1 Stars. F1 Stars is Mario Kart meets F1. You’ll get the likes of Hamilton, Alonso, Vettle, and others to do battle with weapons and power ups on grand prix tracks. F1 Stars will be out in November for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Tshirt interest and like us on Facebook!
I have a couple of house keeping and administrative things to talk about. First up we are looking into getting T shirts. Here’s the thing, I have no idea how many to get so if you might be interested in one send and email to theinfinitegarage@gmail.com No obligation of course and when we come up with a design we’ll post it up for you to see then figure out pricing and all that.
We are also trying to get more likes on Facebook. It’s kind of a necessary evil. Our server stats say people like us because we are growing very nicely thanks to all of you wonderful readers. If you could please like us on Facebook . We already have a nice number of likes but we’d love to get more. Ultimately my goal is to use this site as is with more tech articles, projects, etc and use Facebook to keep you up to date on upcoming events and things of that nature.
As always we are looking for reader rides and project submission. I’m happy to say we have a few scheduled to shoot later in the year but maybe you don’t live here in West Central Illinois and we may not be able to meet up with you. That’s ok though, if you want your ride featured get some good pics, tells us what you’ve done to it, and send it to us at the email address above. We’d love to show off your ride from sport compacts, to hotrods, and race cars. We have some really sweet articles coming up from more on Off Road truck racing and of course more car shows. So stayed tuned.
Lastly I will be heading out to Carrolton, Illinois this weekend for a car show. I’ve talked with a few people that say they are out of room for show cars so it sounds like it’s going to be an awesome event. Come join us and if you see the fat guy with the Canon Camera who will be dripping with sweat stop and say hello! Hope to see you there.
