This really isn’t a shocker since they are so new but for the month of May the BRZ and FRS top the list of fastest selling cars. Oddly enough the Audi TT RS was third on the list. That surprises me for some reason.

A45 AMG, C63 Black sold out! no SLS sedan
A series of news stories from Mercedes today and most of it bad. First up is the C63 AMG Black. Sadly it’s sold out. Originally Mercedes had planned just 650 of the beast but upped the production run to 800 because of the demand. Clearly they could pump out a few more. Prices start at $105,000 which is proof that while things suck for us normal folk it’s pretty damn good for the well off of the country. I’d have a hard time not buying a black if I had the 100k to spend. Maybe with the wing delete option.
Second is that we will not get the awesome A45 AMG. In case you aren’t familiar with the A45 AMG it’s Mercedes hot hatch featuring a 2.0L turbo pumping out a robust 330hp and 295 torques. Oh and it’s AWD. Yep we want that here and of course like many of Europe’s finest we won’t get it. We also don’t get it’s main competitor the Audi RS3 sportback. Why do the Germans hate us so much?
Lastly Mercedes says there is no plant for an SLS sedan. Thank you!

Driven: 2013 Mustang GT
You might say that at Infinite-Garage.com we are a bit small time. It’s ok, we like it that way, our meetings usually occur over Xbox live while playing Forza and rarely involve any serious business. It kind of goes something like “what are you working on?” “an article” oh ok cool. Basically we are flying by the seat of our pants here and that includes test driving cars. You see Ferrari isn’t exactly sending us cars to drive (probably because of what I said about their new car) so we drive what we can when we can. That describes today to a tee. By chance I ran into someone I sort of know who literally just got a brand new shiny Mustang GT. After some sweet talking and maybe playing to her sympathetic side I got her to let me take it for an afternoon for a test drive.

Corvette Z06 hits a deer on the race track
Living in the deer capitol of the world I’ve been in the cockpit for one of these deer collisions and it’s terrifying. I’m sure this Z06 was completely screwed after the impact and I feel very sorry for the driver. These accidents can be quite dangerous and in fact many people lose their lives to deer accidents. Let this video be a warning to all about the hazards of animals on the road. Keep your eyes open!

Anthony Davidson’s big crash at Le Mans
No one wants to see crashes in racing (yeah right) and when they happen we can only hope the drivers are ok. In this case the drivers were ok which is a huge testament to the safety of modern racing. So check out this breath taking crash at the kink right after the Mulsanne straight.
