Infiniti FX Vettel Edition

With F1 officially here and starting tonight this seems like a pretty good time to talk about the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Edition. Only 200 of these will be offered, so get out your check books. So what do you get besides exclusivity? Well Infinity takes their FX50 and gives it a 414hp V8 capable of rocketing you to 60 in 5.2 seconds. That’s not bad for a giant SUV. This version is lighter then stock and has all sorts of carbon fiber aero bits for those high speed runs.

Of course we won’t get it here in the US since only the readers of Infinite-Garage.com actually know who Sebastian Vettel is.

Chevy to Replace the Impala in Nascar Starting 2013

We don’t cover much NASCAR here but when it invovles the prospects of a new car, especially one that could be RWD and V8 – we kind of have to. In a press release today GM announced it will no longer use the Impala in NASCAR next year, instead it will be switching to a new car not yet available to the public. We like the sound of that.

Does this mean they will switch the Caprice which is only available in police cruiser form right now? Does it mean we get a RWD V8 sedan finally? Possibly even an SS model? Or if we get really far out on the hopes and dreams front what if it means the revival of the Pontiac G8 as a Chevy? That thought of that gets me pretty excited. Either way next year could be big for Chevy with the new ‘Vette, the Code, and a new RWD sedan.

Hit the jump for the press release from Chevy.
