From the land of ice and snow, the Volvo V40 leaked ahead of Geneva

We don’t cover a lot of Volvo here on I-G and I’m not sure why really. I suppose that’s my fault. We like Volvos, they are generally stylish and atleast decent to drive. Ahead of Geneva the V40 Volvo got leaked out on facebook by Motoryzacyjny. Which I’ll bet in Scandanavia means crafty car leaker or something. Anyway, here’s a pick of what I think is a pretty darn good looking grocery getter. We’ll get you all the details at the Geneva Motor Show.

The F1 season rapidly approaches and Caterham has decided to shake things up by replacing Jarno Trulli with Vitali Petrov. The move makes sense on many levels with Trulli largely being a non factor in F1 since his arrival and with the emerging popularity of F1 in Russia and the next Russian GP scheduled for 2014. Bullitt as you know is a car chase where a movie breaks out. It is considered the greatest car chase of all time and rightfully so. The legendary Steve McQueen himself does some of the driving and insisted on doing all of it until a movie exec came on scene and saw McQueen getting a bit squirrly. McQueens good buddy Bud Ekins would take over driving duties from then on. The scene has it all, two classics the Bullitt Mustang and a Dodge Charger. The sounds are amazing and the driving is somehow even better then the sound. Again it’s a must see. Today I offer you a real treat in the form of a behind the scenes look at this legendary chase. The following article was originally written by Susan Encinas for the Muscle Car Review in 1987.
