I love stories of extreme mileage cars. It takes more then just a desire to make a car last to rack up a million miles. It takes a deep passion to drive, a love for the car, and lots of tender loving care to reach a mile stone like that. One such enthusiast has reached a million miles in his Porsche 356 and the fellas over at Petrolicious were there to to get some sweet video. Nobody does short films like Petrolicious and that’s why many times they have been our film Friday feature. Today is no exception.

Big numbers at Mecum’s Chicago Auction
While the other big US automotive auction company has a lot of fan fare and TV coverage Mecum casually goes along selling some of the highest dollar and most desirable cars in the world. 
Cars like Harley Ear’s Corvette and an original 1969 ZL1 Camaro were some of the top earners. For a list of the top 10 earners at the auction as well as some more photos hit the jump.

Japanese GP Recap – F1 2013
What’s more predictable than the 2013 F1 season? Not much apparently, as a certain German once again powered his way to a win at the Japanese GP. 2014 Z/28 at the Nurburgring
The Nurburgring is perhaps the ultimate proving ground for high performance cars. Apparently the forthcoming 2014 Z/28 is a pretty high performance car since it just went around the Nurburgring in about 7 and a half minutes. The Yellowjacket: Vortech’s supercharged Mustang for SEMA
Admittedly this is a bit of a short article as we don’t have a ton of pictures yet. We will though, as soon as SEMA happens. In the mean time what we have is a nice teaser pic from Vortech and some details. No doubt this will be hugely popular and will serve as a great preview of what you can get from Vortech for your own Mustang.
What we can tell from the photo is there is going to be some nifty body kit work, a carbon fiber cowl hood and oh yeah a big superchager. Ok we can’t tell that from the picture but it is Vortech. If you wanna check out the press release just hit the jump.
