CAPT. STANLEY TUCKER AND HIS FORD MUSTANGS, NUMBERS 1 AND 1 MILLION

By the time the 1965 Ford Mustang officially went on sale on April 17, 1964, it had been rolling off the assembly line at the Rouge factory in Dearborn, Mich., for about five weeks. Thousands of Mustangs had been shipped to dealers throughout North America so they would be available in showrooms on opening day. However, not all of the cars on display were actually meant to be sold to customers.

Among those was a Wimbledon White convertible with serial number 5F08F100001 that had been delivered to George Parsons Ford at the far eastern end of Canada in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Cruise night is kind of a big legendary event in our part of the world and even though it has gone through some changes recently it appears it is going as strong as ever. Saturday Night is Cruise night followed by a car show on Sunday. The weather was great, not too hot, and nice sunny skies made for a large turn out. So let’s take a look at some highlights.

Hot rod Wallpaper

It must be Wallpaper Wednesday because I see a sweet hot rod suspension and exhaust in beautiful black and white just waiting to be uploaded here to the site for your viewing pleasure. I shot this at the Jacksonville Cruise Night car show on a warm and very bright sunny day. I thought the photo might be a loss but a little black and white magic and what do you know a really sweet desktop background is born.
