Rust Revival: Exit to planet Rust

The Rust Revival happens every spring in the tiny Northern Missouri town of Wayland, Missouri. Here hot rods of the older more traditional variety gather to bring the thunder to the streets of this small Midwestern town and show off their truly insane creations. It’s a rare treat to see a gathering of this much rust in one place and thankfully with the help of our new friend Sethmo we are able to bring you some pretty sweet coverage of the show.
super chopped
If you hit the jump we have a great variety from the show from traditional chopped and channeled Ford’s to some sweet Chevy trucks. It really is an amazing show.

Hot Rod Wallpaper

Wallpaper Wednesday gets a two parter today with our second wallpaper for you being a sweet hot rod from the Loafers Show. If it really came down to it I don’t know if I could choose between a full fendered hot rod or going fenderless. Sometimes I’m just glad it’s my job to photograph these beauties and not build them.

Yenko Nova Wallpaper

Wallpaper Wednesday triumphantly returns with a sweet stripe on a Yenko Nova. This is one sweet ride and I’ll have a bit more on the car it self at a later date, but until then you can make your desktop pretty by using this as your background.
Yenko Nova
Truth be told I’m not sure if this is an original or a clone, but with only 37 Yenko Novas every made, and with only 7 known to be surviving I’d take my chances it’s a clone. Someday I hope to ask the owner as I do see the car out and about, I just never actually get to meet the owner. Either way this is an fantastically well done car and it only helps to feed my growing love of the Nova. If this is your type of thing hit the jump for two different sizes for your desktop wallpaper.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion

The Pagani Zonda took the super car world by storm when it launched earlier this century. It’s rare a car lives up to the standard of the other main stays of the super car club but the Zonda’s outrageous looks, high tech build materials, and all out performance won over any critics. The Zonda Revolucion takes the lunacy of the Zonda to a whole new level. Pagani Zonda revolucion
With it’s carbon-titanium monocoque the Revolucion ups the light weight sports car game weighing in at 2,358lbs, which as far as cars goes these days is practically nothing. Pagani once again teams up with AMG to power the Revolucion using the 6.0L V12 that will pump out a mind blowing 800hp and 538 lb-ft of torque. This means the Zonda Revolucion will put out some impressive acceleration numbers that Pagani is yet to release. Big Brembo’s will stop the Zonda and high speed runs will be aided by an F1 style drag reduction system.

Porsche Project 50: Classic Porsche, Europe’s greatest race tracks

Porsche has given the 911 one heck of a birthday bash. Earlier this year it celebrated the 50th year of the iconic 911 by doing a photo shoot with the original and the new 911. Since then the celebration has continued on and we now find out that Porsche will be campaigning 1965 911 short wheel base race car in the FIA sanctioned Masters Series. Meaning the classic 911 will run on some of the best tracks in Europe like Spa, Brands Hatch, and at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. That’s not a bad birthday party.

911

To tease us, with the promise of more to come Porsche has released a video which we have for you below. The video is only a couple minutes long and full of filthy images of the 1965 911 and some vintage racing footage. Meaning it’s sweet and worth hitting the jump to check out.
