US Postal Service Muscle Car Stamps

It seems these days the news about the Postal Service is all bad. Let’s be honest though they have a lot going for them. Cheap shipping prices, locations every where, and awesome muscle car stamps. Yep, they’ve added cool forever muscle car stamps to the line up. I’m not a stamp collector, but I just may have to pick a book of these up.

Sets include the 69 Charger Daytona, 66 Pontiac GTO, 67 Shelby GT500, 70 Chevelle SS, and 70 Plymouth Hemi Cuda. So there is something there for everyone.

One group of fifth generation Camaro owners decided to make a video called “Heritage.” Done with style the video features a lot of fifth generation Camaros, as well as a few from older generations. Visually it’s a great film, and who can deny the sound of a big American V8 is worth the watch.

McLaren P1 has 903hp

Slowly but surely more information on the McLaren P1 keeps trickling out. We now know more about it’s hybrid drive system and it’s 903hp. 903hp is a lot of horsepower no matter how you slice it. Power is served up by a 3.8L twin turbo V8 with an electric motor to provide the last bit of punch to get it all the way to 903hp and 663 lb-ft of torque.

The transmission all this power runs through is a 7 speed dual clutch unit. McLaren also says it has taken some of it’s Formula 1 technology and applied it to the car in the form of a drag reduction system. This will allow the driver to push a button and lower the rear wing making the car more slippery for high speed runs. With still a month before the official debut at Geneva it sounds like there is some impressive technology in the P1.

You can hit the jump for the full press release from McLaren.
