Onboard with Senna at Monaco

If you are here you know who Ayrton Senna is, right? Senna, like many of my age was a hero of mine, an amazing driver, who would win at all costs. Today we have an onboard video for you of a lap at Monaco in 1990. Just think, we only had four more years of Senna after this.

You can hit the jump for the video.

200hp riding lawn mower on the dyno

We know from our own resident Australian that Australian guys like big wonky crazy loud things. That’s why we like Australians. Well this Aussie has made a 200hp riding lawn mower with zoomies, Borg Warner rear end, 5L V8, and a 700R4 transmission. Yes the blower is fake, but the rest of it is very real and very funny and cool. It’s a 200hp mower!

It’s Friday so hopefully you’ll tolerate some fun goofy stuff for once instead of the serious car news we’ve been doing the last few days. So hit the jump for the video and enjoy.

BMW 4 Series

The new BMW 4 Series is a nice fresh start for the coupes and convertibles of BMW’s mid sized line up. In case you haven’t heard now all 3 series coupes and convertibles will be called the 4 series, keeping sedans for the 3 series. This follows the 5/6 series nomenclature. I think what is more important here then the name is the style. BMW for a long time now has been making boring bland cars, but I think they’ve hit a home run with the 4 series. Let us know what you think.

We don’t know a whole lot of details but there is a press release after the jump as well as several more pictures and a wallpaper. What we do know is the new 4 series is lower wider and will be available next year.

2013 Audi RS6 Avant: Because Wagons Are Cool

Wagons are cool. In an era of big, giant, gas guzzling SUVs it’s nice to see Audi understands that car guys like wagons. Behold the Audi RS6 Avant.

In short, the RS6 Avant comes with a twin turbo V8 making 560hp and 516lb-ft of torque. Weight is 200lbs lighter than the outgoing model and this all adds up to a 0-60 time of under 4 seconds with a top speed of 190mph… in a wagon. Why would anyone buy an SUV? Did we mention it’s beautiful? Of course we haven’t driven one yet but considering it’s an Audi there’s a good chance it drives like a champ too. Hit the jump for the full press release from Audi.
