2014 Barrett Jackson’s TV Schedule
I’ve gotten some questions about Barrett Jackson coverage and what channel it will be on and all that sort of thing. No we do not have anyone out at Barrett Jackson. We still may figure out something though to get some pics of the event. In the mean time if you are going to be watching the event from the comfort of your home you will need to know the TV schedule which is screwy to put it nicely. With the demise of the Speed network B-J coverage will be all over the place on channels I didn’t even know existed.

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 (updated with live pics!)
Happy Z06 day! The long awaited return of the Z06 is here and Chevy promises that the C7 Z06 will be the best Corvette ever. We agree. With looks straight from the future and a supercharged LT4 engine with a whole bunch of trick technology the result is one bitchin’ machine. The first thing we notice is that it is aggressive. Taking the already stunning good looks from the C7 Stingray and cranking them up to 11. This thing is intimidating. Randy Johnson staring you down from the pitchers mound intimidating.
What you get here is largely the C6 ZR1 suspension with some tweaks. Magnetic ride control is standard as is the dry sump oiling system. The Eaton Supercharger is compact and sits inside the Vee of the LT4 making the engine only 1 inch taller then the LT1 found in the base model Corvette Stingray. Chevy says the LT4 will pump out at least 625hp and 635 lb-ft of torque. That a big can of whoop ass wrapped in a carbon fiber and aluminium box. This promises to be the fastest Corvette to date which is saying something since the outgoing ZR1 destroyed all takers at the track. Super car makers, you’ve been put on notice. I hope where you are today is experiencing the same warm temperatures that we are here in the Midwest. After what has to be one of the worst and most depressing weather weeks I can remember finally we catch a break. I bet the car washes in my area are loving this. Hopefully if the weather is good where you are you are getting out and driving something. I am sure we have plenty of winter left here so it’s a good day to get out and enjoy things.
It seems finally we are getting back to a bit more normal here at Infinite Garage and our server troubles may be behind us. At least for now. No doubt there will be more bumps down the road but we will navigate those when they come. In the mean time, we still are hoping to do a bit of a refresh to the site which hopefully makes things easier to navigate, read, and a better overall experience for everyone. We have taken some steps to speed up the server and streamline things a bit so hopefully you are noticing that.
Let’s get on with the week in review and give out the last two awards of 2013. (two weeks late)
