The 42nd edition of the Virginia City Hillclimb, put on by the Ferrari Club of America’s Pacific Region took place last weekend. We braved the heat to bring you some pictures of cars, both vintage and modern, as they took on the twists and turns of Nevada State Highway 342. Hit the jump for a gallery of pictures and very little commentary.

The General was well represented at the WHDOW Reunion from old to new there was a little bit of everything for bowtie fans. The only thing hotter then the weather were the cars and if I had to guess I’d say GM was the most represented of the big three at the show. Now we all know I’m a bit of a Mopar guy but I do love a small block Chevy V8 and there was no lack of those for me to drool over. Everything from first generations Camaros to Yenko Novas, and of course a strong showing by the Fifth Generation Camaro which as far as I can tell is as popular as the Mustang these days. So let’s settle in a take a journey through the show grounds and look at a few of my favorite Chevys and Pontiacs from the day.
I don’t think we have ever ran a 1978 Trans Am as our feature image before so this is long over due. This one looks great in orange with the fire chicken on that very long hood.

Sunday Commentary: Feels like Fall
Sunday Commentary week in review
by Jason
The weekend is here and nearly gone and while I try to steer my head away from thinking about Monday I can’t help but notice a decided nip in the air this morning as I sit on the porch and write the Sunday Commentary. In fact it’s quite cool. It let’s me know that the Midwest’s second car show season is upon us kicking of with cruise night in Jacksonville, Illinois next weekend. It is always a good turn out and weather permitting I’ll be there to bring you the action. While that’s a look ahead the Sunday Commentary is more about looking back at the week that was wrapped in a bundle of photos of my favorite shots from the week.

A week that feels far away now as the rain gently falls on my roof and the cloudy cool weather is far removed from the blazing hot and sunny weather we experience here most of the week. Rain or shine though we are a lot like the post office and we deliver article after article for your reading pleasure.
