Sunday: Need for Speed, still sorting out some issues

The good news is we have the site up and running reliably. So you can read anything we have posted since we started this whole crazy thing called Infinite Garage. The bad news is we are having some trouble posting new things. We are working on some things right now and we are hoping we fix this issue. If you are reading this and it’s Monday we have it fixed! That also means the year end awards are going to be delayed another day or two until this is sorted.

Ford F100 Panel Truck

In the mean time we do have a few things to cover as we hurdle towards the new year. One thing I skipped over a while back was the Need For Speed Mustang. Need for Speed is an action movie coming soon that just like the video game series is all about going fast and living on the edge. The movie features a custom wide body Mustang that was built just for the movie. We have a short video and some photos after the jump.

The year end awards are upon us.

You’ll have to forgive us if everything this week seems like we are flying by the seat of our pants because we are. With the server down time, the holidays, and the site deciding to delete several of this weeks posts thing got weird here. what I’m going to do today is recap last years awards, which some of you may have caught earlier in the week before it floated off into the ether and we lost it. Then starting tomorrow and through the new year we will do the year end awards for 2013.

SEMA-Chevrolet-CorvetteStingrayPacific-032

I’m gonna bet an early favorite to take home a whole bunch of awards this year is that guy above. The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is all that and a bag of chips. We will have to wait a few days and see though, last year there was a surprise or two in the list. One thing is for sure, we won’t pick the 2015 Mustang as our car of the year like some big magazine did. I mean how could it be the car of the year when it doesn’t exist yet? That’s the big magazines for you.

Let’s take a look back at the big winners from last year.

Merry Christmas! Twin Turbo Trans Am style

It’s Christmas time all across this great land and I hope under your tree is something to help you achieve your high octane dreams. Maybe a new 4 barrel carb, or a set of long tubes. What ever ends up under your tree I hope you have a safe and fun Christmas filled with family and friends. Our friends at Year One put up their Christmas tree this year with a little help from a twin turbo Trans Am and have decided to share the video with us.

First 2015 Mustang to be auction off at Barrett Jackson

This should come as a surprise to no one since this has been the trend for basically all new American sports cars, but the first 2015 Mustang will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson in January. The winning bidder, who will inevitably pay way too much for the car will get to check his or her own option boxes and see their Mustang get built.

Chrysler E body’s: The Plymouth Cuda and Dodge Challenger

Here’s the cool thing about being the guy that started this whole Infinite Garage thing, I can kind of do what I want. It was a rough few weeks while we were down and I just want to shout to the world that we are back. So up until this point after our return we have done a little news, some cool videos and now it’s time to get back to more original content. So why not kick that off with my two favorite cars of all time. The Plymouth Cuda and the Dodge Challenger. If I ever did get the funds to buy one of these classics I don’t know which I’d choose. It would be tough for sure. Now while they are both E body cars they are also both very different. Let’s have some photos do the talking.

Hemi Cuda

Probably a good place to start is the king of the E bodies the Hemi Cuda. It’s as bad ass as it gets with an amazing sound, stunning looks, and king of the streets type performance. The E body started in 1970 as a wider and shorter B platform. There were three versions of the Cuda in 1970 the base model, Grand Cupe, and Sport Coupe.
