As if the manufacturers need another reason to up the price on new cars now comes news that because of a rail strike in Canada it’s likely that there will be longer wait times for cars in the US. Many companies make cars in Canada in fact almost all major manufactures do. Honda already reports the CR-V supplies have been impacted and Chrysler expects delays soon.
The strike could also effect oil prices as much of Canada’s oil supply moves by train because the pipelines are full. Could be a double wammy for car lovers everywhere. The good news is the Canadian government is expected to step in soon to bring an end to the strike so hopefully eny problems minimal.
