According to Motor Trend Nissan is hard at work developing a Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS fighter on the Juke platform. You’ll remember earlier in the week we hypothosized that the Z was going to get lighter and smaller and that may be Nissan’s answer to the it’s rivals. However it appears that now Nissan plans to slot in another car below the Z to fight with. Motor Trend also speculates this car would cost about $22,000 dollars which would actually be less then it’s rivals.
The car would use the Juke’s 1.6t engine with an AWD option meaning the standard car would likely be FWD. It’s also not clear that the car would even be sold here in America but Motor Trend’s source says Japan, China, and Europe would be likely markets. It will be interesting to see where Nissan goes with this and if we get it here State side.
