We don’t cover much Nascar here because honestly it’s boring. The cars are boring, the tracks are boring, and it’s not feasible for us to travel that much. While I’m on my high horse what we’d like to see in Nascar is a return to the 1960s and 1970s style cars where you actually have cars you could go watch race on Sunday and buy on Monday. Maybe as attendance continues to fall in Nascar they will make a change to a more interesting car formula. It’s not that Nascar doesn’t have potential, it certainly does, it just seems wasted.
Before I get too far off topic news comes today that the rumor Dodge is pulling out after this season is completely true. There is only one team running a Dodge anyway and they are switching to Ford’s. Long gone are the days of Superbirds and Chargers Daytonas flying around the ovals of Daytona. After the jump is a video from Ralph Gilles on Dodge pulling out.
