I’ve been on the automakers for a long time now about how outrageously expensive their cars have become. Of course this follows the trend of everything else in world but with the average new car costing 30k and your average person making less then that something has to give at some point. Maybe the automakers are getting it. Nah, I’m not willing to give them that much credit yet but Audi in which is downsizing everything in their line up these days has decided to price the A8 6k cheaper then the current model.
What you get for 6k less is a 3.0 supercharged engine that gets less horsepower and less fuel economy. I can’t figure that one out either. I thought the point of smaller engines was more fuel economy?
Who am I to talk? Audi has been hitting home runs for a long time now so they know what they are doing. If you are interested in the new A8 it should be hitting the dealerships any day now and will cost you about 73k before you start ticking option boxes.
