Chevrolet will oversea restoration of Corvettes lost in the sinkhole

By now you have surely heard about the Corvettes that got swallowed up by a giant sink hole at the National Corvette Museum. While it’s a terrible thing there are certainly worse tragedies in this world. Since most if not all insurance people are complete assholes and scam artists of course the the insurance company will not be covering the damages. This means of course that the museum is seeking donations. If you think your hard earned money should be spent fixing up the museums Corvettes instead of oh I don’t know feeding the poor then head on over to their site for a tax deductible donation.

After the jump we have some video of the actual sinking. Now I don’t want anyone to think I’m making light of the situation. I like Corvettes and I think it’s a shame what happened. I also think it’s silly to to beg for money to fix Corvettes when we have much more important troubles here in the country. However, it’s your money so who am I to judge? The good news is Chevrolet has stepped in to make sure the cars get restored to spec. That is important since there are some historically significant Vettes here.
