As we reported last week there is a fear the V8 engine will go by the way side with the new CAFE regulations. While I still stand by my statement that it is not true it seems Infiniti is ready to dump it’s V8s. According to Infiniti it will no longer produce V8s and instead it’s V8 cars the FX50, QX56, and M56 will use small and probably forced induction engines. This really is no surprise as Infiniti was not exactly pushing the V8 engine and hardly relied on it to power a significant portion of it’s line up. So this is really insignificant news. However if you were wanting an Infiniti with a V8 you better get it now.
