We now know four things about the new C7 Chevrolet Corvette. It shares the same cabin air filter as the C6, it shares the same targa top latch as the C6, it will have a targa top, and it debutes at the Detroit Autoshow on January 13, 2013. Below is a launch video that Chevy put out about the new logo so check it out.
The C7 will be huge and an early front runner for the car of the year next year. Any time a new Vette is released it’s a big deal but the C7 is particularly big because it is expected to eclipse the current Vette which is one of the greatest cars of all time.
We are just a few months from the Detroit launch, but then a long six months or so before actual production. C6 production will stop in Bowling Green in February of 2013 with C7 production starting in October of next year. That means there will be about a six month retooling period at the plant for the new car. So if you want to take a tour better get in there quick or you’ll have a long wait.
