Five Friday’s in a month means it’s time to hang out with the fellas from the White Hall Drag O Way. The scorching hot temperatures did not turn away the very nice crowd who gathered to talk cars, show off their babies, and reunite with friends new and old. You can always expect a good time at one of these events, not to mention some really cool old iron.
I’ve been to several of these Fifth Friday Cruise In’s now and what always amazes me is the quality and variety of cars. What is really cool is these aren’t trailer queens, but they are drivers. So with camera in tow I took the short drive to White Hall, Illinois to spend time with the guys of the WHDOW and enjoy an evening around some sweet classics. Hit the jump and you can see a sampling of what was there.
Bel Airs are one of my all time favorite cars. You do not see a whole lot of them in silver but here is a real prime example.

A great Camaro with a 396. These look amazing in white.

One of the coolest badges.

and the full car it came on. This car had a flawless paint job. It’s a real gem.

Just some cool pinstriping and patina.

You may have remember this 31 Koupe from a previous feature. It now has some cool vintage flames and a new top. I thought the Chevelle beside it was stunning as well. What a great pair!

How cool is this vintage armored truck? You do not see this very often.

Yenko! Ok it’s a clone, but that’s just fine by me.

I’ll end it with a sweet Chevy Camaro Z28. This shot was almost perfect. If only I could have re-positioned the Z28 a little bit. Still it turned out well, and what a nicely done car.

This would be a great time to tell you about the White Hall Drag O Way Reunion which is coming up this Saturday September 7th in White Hall, Illinois. There will be a few hundred cars, food, fun, and friends. You should definitely make plans to attend.
