I was surfing over at Bangshift and they had posted this video earlier in the week and I just had to reshare. Smokey Yunick was apparently a really funny guy. Warning there is some salty language in this one, just the way it should be. 🙂
Update: It was brought to my attention last night that some of you might not know who Smokey Yunick is so real quick he was Nascar mechanic/crew chief, inventor, author for popular science, and racer. We fully intend to do a more thorough job of paying tribute to Mr. Yunick in an upcoming series on the men behind racing. Basically the guys who were innovators in racing so look for that this summer.

There is no one in American car culture that matches Smokey. He’s the guy that all the engineers shut up and listened to about engines. Not bad for someone that never saw the inside of a college classroom.
