Founded in 1947 near Blackpool England TVR, maker of insane cars is closing it’s automotive operation. The cost to produce their high end, exotics has grown but with the economic downturn and stiff competition the company has decided to focus elsewhere. Going forward the Russian Billionaire that owns TVR plans to build wind turbines. TVR has been dead before and for now the current owner Nikolai Alexandrovich Smolensky plans to keep the rights to the name but is open to the idea of selling it off to the right buyer. So Maybe TVR could come back someday.
