Sunday Commentary:

Sunday is here, well it’s almost over actually. A busy schedule for me this weekend and some server issues mean things are running late here at IG. It looks like our server is all fixed again so it’s time to get back to normal. Whatever normal is for us. So almost every Sunday for a good while now I’ve been doing this week in review thing and it’s hugely popular with you our loyal fans. So I don’t want to change too much this week but I fear this week may be a bit short as my eyes get heavy after what has been a very long few months. I’m know many of you know this but some don’t and I often get asked if IG is all I do or if I have another job. I indeed have another job, a few actually, but most notably this time of year I help out on my family’s farm. It’s long hours but it’s generally rewarding. Not to mention I get to drive all kinds of horsepower all day long which is quite fun. So if you’ve been wondering why I haven’t posted as consistently as I do through the summer and winter months that explains it.

That is probably way more than you want to know about me so let’s get back to what we do best which is bombard you with muscle cars, hot rods, and other assorted items of cool. We have a week in review to do so continue reading and see what you missed!

FILM FRIDAY:
Friday which is probably the second happiest day of the week is always Film Friday here at IG. Most of you probably know that by now but since our server troubles started Friday you may have missed this weeks edition. Thanks to some handy camera work by the fellas at Rat Rod Magazine we get to digitally ride along on there 2012 Rat Rod Tour. It’s a nearly 50 minute video so reserve some time and check it out.

Car of the year: not our choice
Popular Mechanics named it’s car of the year this week. It’s boring. I decided to throw out some ideas for what might be our car of the year which we will reveal in just about six weeks.

Hot Rod Wallpaper
Friday is to films as Wednesday is to Wallpapers. We get a lot of great feedback on our Wallpaper Wednesday articles, where every week we give you something pretty for your computers background. This week an awesome Ford hot rod on the salt of Bonneville.

Future Classic
One thing we started up last winter and will surely continue this winter is our future classics series. It’s a look at cars (or trucks) that were made in the last few decades that we think might become collectors in the future. With a lot of the good grade A collector cars nearly all taken at this point it may be necessary to look elsewhere for young collectors. So this week we looked at the GMC Syclone.

Aston Martin Celebrates 100 years
Monday we took at a look at Aston Martin’s 100 year celebration. They have three new concepts to celebrate and while we don’t look heavily on super cars Astons are pretty cool so we thought we’d give them a nod.

That will do it for this week. With our server issues behind us and winter coming we are back on track here at the IG world headquarters. My hope is this week to start rolling out some of the original content I held back from various shows over the summer. So that means some familiar show names but some different cars from those shows. It will be good to get settle back into the groove of posting bad ass rides every day.
