The weekend is here and nearly gone and while I try to steer my head away from thinking about Monday I can’t help but notice a decided nip in the air this morning as I sit on the porch and write the Sunday Commentary. In fact it’s quite cool. It let’s me know that the Midwest’s second car show season is upon us kicking of with cruise night in Jacksonville, Illinois next weekend. It is always a good turn out and weather permitting I’ll be there to bring you the action. While that’s a look ahead the Sunday Commentary is more about looking back at the week that was wrapped in a bundle of photos of my favorite shots from the week.
A week that feels far away now as the rain gently falls on my roof and the cloudy cool weather is far removed from the blazing hot and sunny weather we experience here most of the week. Rain or shine though we are a lot like the post office and we deliver article after article for your reading pleasure.
F1 at MONZA
Monza is one of the few old tracks left on the F1 calender and while it’s usually not the most exciting of tracks this year offered some pretty good racing. Well for those behind the leader. Of course up front the action was pretty predictable. Our own Reno did a full on recap of the activities from the Italian GP.

WHDOW Reunion
We’ve been going on about the White Hall Drag O Way Reunion for a few weeks now. It is the biggest show around and the best little town show you’ll ever find. I’ll have plenty more of it going forward but this week we managed to knock out a couple rounds of coverage for you viewing pleasure. We covered classics, traditional hot rods, a rat or two, some muscle, and highly customize cars. A little something for everyone if you will so if you missed it be sure to check it out.

After a week off Wallpaper Wednesday made it’s return in a post we called “drag queen.” Which was a sweet bike from the salt flats of Bonneville. If you desktop background is feeling a bit old then you’ll want to head over to the post and pick up this one to dress up your computers home screen.

The Ford F100 Panel truck is a timeless design and with a little bit of custom work it becomes a real show stopper. we just happen to have one such panel truck we did a small feature on this week.
