Formula 1: 2013 Schedule and Preview

Formula One is the pinnacle of motosport. It’s high tech, high speed, and high drama as the egos often are as large as the budgets of the teams. The season kicks off in Melbourne, Australia which will be the first of just 19 races this year. Sadly the people trying to put together the race in New Jersey could not pull it off and attempts to find a race to replace it were unsuccessful. The F1 will also lose a team this year with HRT dropping out due to financial reasons. Of course they were largely non factors anyway. The rules this year are largely the same, this of course will be the last year of the naturally aspirated V8s engine an era in F1. The only rule change to speak of is that DRS is no not allowed in qualifying.

Below I’ve added the entire race schedule for this year so hit the jump and check it out, as well as some more pictures from winter testing.

Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel will try and defend their championship and clearly they are the favorite again.

Mercedes

Massa begins his seventh season with Ferrari, while still looking for his first world Championship. While he struggled mightily early in 2012 he regained some of his previous form near the end of the year.

So with qualifying just over 24 hours from now and the race on Sunday it looks to be another exciting season of F1 action.
