This weekend the 90th running of the Le Mans 24hr will be at the center of attention for any racing fan and gearhead. I’m still plugging away on cruise night coverage and while plowing through some pics I found a lot Chevelles. Now it’s no secret why Chevelles are hugely popular they look great and go like hell. It’s the tride and true recipe for a collector car and it’s a pretty good way to get a picture of your ride on that pokey little car site we like to call Infinite-Garage.com

Another Wednesday which means a not only is your work week half over but it’s time for us to give you another awesome desktop background for your computer. I’ve been in a serious hot rod mood lately so this week I’m bringing you a long and low rod done up to perfection.
I would have to say I am a fan of anything with serious custom work but there is just something about these no fender, chopped, channeled, and mean as hell looking rods from the early 30s. They just scream speed. So hit the jump for a couple different sized wallpapers for your desktop.

One man’s Volvo with 3 million miles on the odometer
Classic Volvo’s are a thing of beauty and while it is not particularly rare to see a car from 1966 on the road today, it is quite rare to see one that is daily driven with 3,000,000 miles on it. Just take a second to let that sink in, 3 million miles….. I know people who get rid of cars every two years and people who think 100,000 miles is high mileage. It is not and Irv Gordon of Long Island is proving that.
When Mr. Gordon purchased is 1966 volvo P1800 brand new he did not expect to break all the records for mileage but it turns out his love for the car, and love for seeing America has meant that year after year the miles kept adding up. Now as he approaches the 3 million mile mark Volvo has decide to run a campaign promoting his nearly fifty year 3 million mile journey.
Of course 3 million miles does not happen by accident. Gordon attributes his feat to his religious maintenance of the car, performed by experts and the care he has given the car over the years. The results speak for themselves.
