The Dodge Charger really became an icon in the late 1960s, but that does not mean the earlier Chargers were not cool, collectible, and easy on the eyes. The early Charger’s were all fastbacks with plenty of influence from the late 50s and early 60s space age designs clearly visible. The fastback design was to help dominate in NASCAR but the problem was the car actually created lift at high speeds making it a bit slippery at high speeds. This would eventually lead to the Charger being the first US production car to offer a spoiler as an option.
Our subject for this article is slightly modded with new wheels and a nice stance. Oh yeah and a 440 under the hood. It’s well done and quite the stunner, so hit the jump and check out a few more pics and see if you agree.
