The Infiniti Eau Rouge concept

Infiniti is a car company we don’t talk about much here. It’s not that they don’t make nice cars, they do. They are also very boring. Oh sure there’s the G37 but it’s kind of fat and heavy and not really powerful, nor is it all that fun to drive. Sorry Infiniti G37 owners it’s true.
Infiniti-Eau-Rouge
The Infiniti Eau Rouge aims to take that stigma away. With sporty looks and nice sound it could just do the job. However, we don’t know a whole lot else about the car since at Detroit it was just a design concept. However it was well received so Infiniti has decided to take another step with it. That does not necessarily mean production, but it does mean we get to actually hear the car now. So after the jump are more photos and a video.

Ford Econoline vs Corvair Rampside video

Every time I see a Ford Econoline pick up truck I think of my buddy Neil. He’s one of the guys with the White Hall Drag O Way and he’s a Ford man through and through. In fact he has several Econolines that are quite cool. The picture below is of one of his. When I saw this video I instantly though of Neil and then how he and all the other fans of Infinite Garage would probably enjoy seeing it.

Econoline-truck

This video pits the Econoline vs the Corvair Rampside. It was produced by GM and is clearly bias in a hilariously unapologetic way. Still, it’s got some cool old footage of the trucks doing a little offroading, sliding around corners, and even a great stoppie by the Econoline. It’s just a quick three or so minutes long so hit the jump and enjoy.

The Mclaren 650S

McLaren have been making a lot of news lately. First with the P1 and now with the 650S. If you don’t know what the 650S is you aren’t alone. The good news is we have a big press release below with all the marketing fluff and info you’d ever want about the car. More importantly we have photos.

Basically the 650S is a luxury super car of sorts that offers everything any high class super car enthusiast would want. It’s powered by a big honking twin turbo V8 so it’s certainly got that going for it. More after the jump.

2015 Dodge Challenger Rumors and Speculation

I want to come right out and say that everything that follows here is a lot of second hand information. We’ve got a couple sources at Dodge and they’ve heard some things but they caution that nothing is set in stone. What we know for sure is that in 2015 We will see a refreshed Dodge Challenger. We expect a full reveal late in the auto show season this year, meaning probably New York in April. Ordering would begin in the summer with deliveries in the fall.

Mopar-14-Challenger-stripe

We expect a lot of the same and nothing radically different with the 2015 Challenger. Well unless you don’t count a supercharged 6.2L V8 and an 8 speed automatic transmission as radically different. What I’m getting at though is the looks and size of the car will remain similar. There is a refreshed front fascia coming but I wouldn’t expect a radical departure. Also the rear will get a new split light LED tail lights. The weight of the cars chassis and body looks to be a little bit lighter. Some say around 200 lbs but others as much as 400 lbs. 400 lbs is a huge stretch for a car of this size and I’d honestly be surprised to see a 200 lb weight reduction. Especially in the “hellcat” 6.2L supercharged engine. Remember supercharges, heat exchangers, and the piping for such adds weight.

There are a lot of other smaller changes coming that will make for a nice new feel to the Challenger.
