Every Lotus Esprit iteration all in one film

Lotus is the kind of car company that does the opposite of what we generally cover here at IG. We like big engines and sometimes big cars that make a lot of noise and often look faster then they are. The folks at Lotus see things differently. Lighter is better and horsepower is not terribly important. The result are some pretty cool cars that can blister a race track. We actually like those too, but with myself being a large and somewhat tall man, and Reno making the Jolly Green Giant short we don’t exactly fit in a Lotus.

Still thanks to a video from a get together of Lotus enthusiasts we can show you the evolution of every Lotus Esprit made since the mid 1970s. It’s a pretty neat video and it’s only a couple minutes long. Hit the jump and check it out.

Favorite cars of 2013

It’s Thursday, it’s the middle of winter and I’m dying for some car action. Sadly there is none to be found around the frozen wasteland that is West Central Illinois where the Infinite Garage HQ is located. I thought maybe today would be a good time to look back at my favorite cars I photographed in 2013. That means going back through hundreds of photos to find just the right ones for this post.

new-dodge-Challenger

My love affair with Mopar and the new Challenger is pretty well documented here on IG. Often times it’s loathed by you Chevy and Ford guys out there but that’s ok. I’m writing the articles so I can show all the Mopar I want. haha. Don’t worry, I’ve got plenty of love for you other guys in this article too.

Nissan announced 2014 Pricing

When the Nissan GT-R first came into production it was heralded as great bang for you buck performance. Digital age good looks, tons of gadgetry and the speed and grip to match it made it a favorite among younger performance enthusiasts. However ever year the car gets tweaked a little and a jump in price. Now well north of six figures is the Nissan GT-R still a performance bargain?
Nissan-GTR
Well it would be hard to proclaim anything that cost more than $100,000 to be a bargain. Still it’s quick, not Corvette Z06 quick, but quick. So it’s probably not the best buy out there any more but it will still be a lot of fun to drive. If you are looking for a fast Nissan for your garage it just might be the one for you. Hit the jump for many more photos and the press release.

1st 2014 Z28 Camaro sells for $650,000

Last weekend the first production Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was auctioned off for charity at Barrett Jackson. This sort of thing is getting to be pretty common place in the car world and we are glad to see the money going to good causes. So who was the winning bidder of the 505hp 7L monster? Who else, Rick Hendrick? No doubt a huge car guy he’s a staple at Barrett Jackson and of course has many Chevy dealers and oh yeah a Nascar team.
2014 Z/28 at the Nurburgring
Hendrick shelled out $650,000 for the honor of getting the first Z28 and why not? You only get one shot to be the first owner of #1. After the jump we have a video of the bidding going down so you might want to check that out.
